BAR + GARDEN

The Trout has a delightfully relaxed bar where you will find the best well kept ales, an extensive wine list, and a good choice of spirits and soft drinks, all served at reasonable prices.

The bar is decorated with a large collection of trout and fishing memorabilia. It has two sofas where you can sit and unwind with a nice glass of Australian Chardonnay or Chilean Merlot after having taken one of the many walks around the Itchen Valley.

We do run a weekly quiz, hosted by one of our local villagers. Please check our events page for the dates, and to see what other events are coming up.

Our large garden and patio, with pleasant views across to the River Itchen has seating for approximately 80 people. Here you can sit and relax in the garden and watch the sun go down over our charming village.  We do please ask though that guests and visitors keep their shirts on while in the garden, and coming inside to order drinks or food.

Our garden has a Wendy House and swings for families to use, but we request that children are supervised at all times because we cannot accept any responsibility for accident or injury incurred while using the facilities.

We are also dog friendly and customers are welcome to bring their dogs into the bar or garden, providing they are kept under control.
